Spooky Halloween Locations

Looking for a place to get your Halloween fix? I’ve complied the top ten places to visit in the United States (there are some good ones outside the US as well) for the ultimate Halloween experience. Check it out:

10) Manitou Springs, Colorado

9) New York City, New York

To do: New York City’s Village Parade After Dark Crypt Crawl at the Cathedral of St John the Divine, Tours of haunted hotels, bars, museums, and zoos

5) St. Helens, Oregon

To do: Spirit of Halloweentown: a month long festival that has haunted houses, magic shows, costume contests, a pumpkin lighting, and food carts.

4) New Orleans, Louisiana

To do: Visit Haunted Hotels, Go to a Halloween parade or concert, Get in on a ghost tour (pick from the French Quarter or even a famous cemetery),Voodoo Music and Art Experience, Go to a ball (witches ball or vampire ball)

To do:Check out the sight of the legendary headless horseman (the great Jack O’Lantern gets set ablaze), Go to Phillipsburg Manor that’s transformed into a haunted landscape, For a family friendly event check out the Lyndhurst Castle, Also in town there are hayrides, live music, street fairs, parades, and lantern tours

2) Savannah, Georgia

To do: Ghost tours, Check out the adult only charity part at the Alee Shriner’s Temple

  2. These are fun activities. I love the coffin race in Manitou Springs. BTW – we love Manitou Springs. And the crypt crawl, how cool is that? I would love that. And Salem, oh Salem, since we live close we participate in their month long activities which are amazing. Great list.


  3. Salem is one of my favorite places to visit! the Jack O’Lantern Spectacular in Louisville, KY is another one to add to the list – it is absolutely incredible!


  4. I would love to one day properly celebrate Halloween in the US, it seems like a really cool thing there. I mean, it’s getting more and more popular here in Norway as well, but nowhere near what I imagine it being like there. 🙂 Cool blog post!
